Mater Dolores Medal
This Mater Dolores (or Mother of Sorrows), medal honors Mary as the mother of our crucified Lord. Each of the seven swords that pierce her Immaculate Heart represent one of her "seven sorrows" while here on Earth:
1- The Prophecy of Simeon 2- The Flight Into Egypt 3- Jesus Lost in the Temple 4- Mary Meets Jesus on His way to Calvary 5- The Crucifixion 6- Jesus is Lowered Down from the Cross 7- Jesus is Laid in the Tomb
